Halloween Pennant on Glass

The broad wings of the Halloween Pennant Dragonfly (Celithemis eponina) are often confused with that of butterflies. This one makes its home in the Florida Everglades. They can fly in rain and strong wind. On hot days, they will use their wings to shade their thoraxes.
